With this post, I am starting a new section on my blog for curated garden gift ideas. No, I am not selling these but rather curating these are items that you can purchase yourself. I will share where to buy and why I recommend an item. It’s so exciting to start this section of my blog with Mother’s Day Garden Gift Ideas.
Growing up, I remember red geraniums. My Mom loved geraniums. Dad would bring home a beautiful pot for her every Mother’s Day. Do you have a special memory? Maybe it’s time to start one for your Mom. I hope you enjoy my selections.
Note: I researched these items in April 2020 and the availability and prices are current as of that date. The total cost of the 3 items is approximately $90. All are available on Amazon and have free shipping if you are an Amazon member. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases
White/Speckled Grey Ceramic Planter Pot 8”
One thing I have learned is that quality counts and this planter does not disappoint. Such a beautiful pot that is sure to delight any Mom. In addition, because this pot is weather resistant it can be used for either an indoor or outdoor plant. Two thoughtful additions are provided by the manufacturer. First, a ‘planter filler’ for the bottom of the pot to allow water to drain freely. Second, a ‘drainage net’ prevents loose soil from falling through the drainage hole. So cleaver!
Heart Garden Sculpture – Decorative Yard Art
What better way to say ‘I love you’ than with hearts? I love garden art for a couple of reasons. First, they add interest and a focal point to your garden. Second, you can add life to an area of the garden where it might be difficult to grow plants. This sculpture is made of ceramic and the dimensions are 13″W x 2-1/2″D x 12″H. So pretty!
Scented Soy Jar Candle
Over the past few years, I have switched to soy candles. Why? There are several reasons. One, soy candles are a more natural alternative to paraffin candles made from petroleum oil. Two, soy candles tend to burn longer and cleaner. While the manufacture, Lulu Candles, has various sizes and scents, this candle caught my attention. It comes in such a lovely box with an ‘I love you’ inscription and rose scent. So appropriate!
There you have it. I hope one or more of these Mother’s Day garden gift ideas inspire you! For ideas on what to plant in the new container, check out these posts.
